Annual Exam
Mar
Every company have their annual medical exams. In the company I work for, it’s usually February or March and the annual physical exam is taken at Clinica Manila. The lab tests are urinalysis, blood extraction, drug testing and chest X-ray. The physical exam done are checking of the vital signs, breast exam and abdominal exam. For those 30-years old and above, an ekg is done. The results are then forwarded to the company after a week or so.
Having this kind of exam really helps a person to find out if there are some medical issues that need to be addressed.
Second Car
Oct
Hubby is now considering to buy a new car. He wants a bigger one he can use for office. I want a bigger car too so that we can use it when we are going out of town. However, due to budget constraint, we can’t afford to buy even a second hand car. I told hubby he can just buy a motorbike and Arai Helmets because it’s what we can afford. The car he wants isn’t brand new. It’s a Surf model and I think there’s no brand new for that. He likes it because it’s a macho car.
Well, we can’t afford to get another car yet, but hopefully in the next months or years we can have a new car. So for now, we have to do with one car.

New Car
Sep
We don’t have a car before but because of my kids, we thought it became a necessity so we bought one. We haven’t bought accessories yet, even spare mag wheels but hubby is planning to buy one in the next months. It’s not a big car or an SUV. It’s not that expensive too but hubby likes to drive it so much. He said it’s very easy to drive. I am planning to enroll in a driving school as soon as a can leave the kids for at least four hours. In that way, if I know how to drive already, I can go out with my eldest even if hubby doesn’t want to, LOL.
Anyway, because of the car, we can now bring my eldest to the mall every weekend for our exclusive time with her. She’s very happy about it and always excited every weekend. She has something to look forward to and that’s good.
Retiring Early
Jun
My mom will be turning a year older on Saturday. She’s not that old but she’s having a hard time walking because of her knees. She’s been suffering from knee pain since she was sixty years old. Thus, she has to retire from teaching early. She didn’t have any insurance that time, no life insurance, no disability insurance. But even so, she stopped from teaching. She doesn’t regret retiring at an early age, but she regrets not having any insurance at all. Good thing she was able to get a pension plan even if it’s just a small one, maturing this year on her birthday. At least, she has something she can use in times of need.
I hope I won’t have the need to retire early. I still love working and keeping myself busy.

Father’s Day Gift Ideas
May
Father’s Day is just a few weeks away and I haven’t thought what gift I’ll be giving hubby. Have you bought your gift to your hubby? Here are some of the things I’m planning to give my better half. It’s gadgets mostly as he’s a techie guy.
- Android phone – He has been thinking of changing his phone he’s been using for six years. He went to a store last week to check if the phone he wants is already available. I hope it will be before Father’s Day.
- DSLR camera – The one he wants isn’t available yet too as of the moment but if it does, I’ll just say I’ll pay for a third of its price, hehe. It’s so expensive!
- Desktop computer – He’s planning to setup a new development server her at home.
- suunto watch – I saw him looking at a website selling watches.
- iPad – He wants this so that he can browse even on bed, before he sleeps.
